Pet Doctors of America

(Design & Concept. Identity. Advertising. Copywriting. Promotions. Website.)

Like most local veterinary clinics, Pet Doctors of America is small and independently-owned. You wouldn’t think it by their name, but like everyone in America, they have a big dream. To become a national franchise with a high-end feel and approach of a human hospital, but with the local comfort and attention of a small, personal veterinary clinic. With two existing clinics in the Jacksonville Beach area, they’ve already developed a strong and loyal customer base, and a brand that is positioned for growth. The challenge of rebranding came when they decided to open another clinic and broaden their reach into other areas of the city.

With an understanding that good design and branding would communicate their existing brand to a new customer base, this initial phase was to explore how far could we take that brand, and how comfortable would they be with the changes?

One approach was a little risky, one was a little safe. But both communicated their dedication and emphasis on creature comfort, cleanliness and a healthy obsession with customer-friendly service.
