TigerLily

Brand · Web

TigerLily ↗ is a creative video production studio, and after 2 decades in business, they were looking to update their brand image. Our main goals were to reflect the kind of company they’ve become today and help them communicate better with clients.

Discover & Define

We dug into their history, their tastes, and what strategic and tactical challenges they experience with their current brand. These learnings informed our decisions.

We landed on two key aspects that resonated — storytelling, and building relationships. These weren’t just beliefs; they were core values that have existed since their inception. The name “tigerlily” comes from an ancient legend of friendship and transformation.

During this phase of work, we performed the following:

  • Brand Audit

  • Competitive Analysis

  • Industry Research

  • Content Outline

  • Brand Strategy document

  • Visual Moodboards

  • Visual Direction document

Exploration

One major challenge was gaining consensus on whether the brand logo should be changed or whether they should develop a stronger visual language for their current identity. Our initial approach was to explore the two styles that were defined during our strategy phase and see if it resonated with their team.

The first round explored varying levels of visual refinement we could do to the existing identity. The second round was a completely new look. After much consideration, the team ultimately decided to take the leap to a full redesign.

With our direction defined, we built out the tools and templates they needed to start implementing the new design into their client and public facing materials.
